It's really and truly over.

I'm not a big fan of Winter, especially in the absence of snow. But the weeks I find the most difficult to endure are the ones immediately after Christmas. Not only is it endlessly cold and grey and damp, but there are no pretty twinkly lights. No promise of good times to come. Fewer happy, helpful, smiling faces. But saddest of all are the trees. All those trees.

January stinks.
